Typesafe

Config Typesafe stack on Mac OS Leopard

For those of you who still use Leopard and want to use the Typesafe stack to play with Akka and Scala, follow these instructions:

1. Install brew.

1.1. If already install, update:

$ git remote add origin git://github.com/mxcl/homebrew.git
$ git fetch origin
$ git reset --hard origin/master
$ brew update
Already up-to-date.

Yep, I know, you don't like git reset --hard... me neither, but believe me, this time it's Ok to do it.

Afterwards:

$ brew install scala sbt maven giter8
$ g8 typesafehub/play-scala

And that's it, now play with Scala and the Typesafe stack.
